Hi, I’m Dhanshree 👋
Counselling Psychologist
Children, adolescents, parents and adults
Hi, I’m Dhanshree, a Counselling Psychologist working with children, adolescents, parents, and adults. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and client-centred, which means I believe therapy works best when we work together rather than me simply telling you what to do. I aim to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted while also being gently challenged when it can help you move forward.
Therapy with me is not about having every session neatly figured out. Some sessions might feel light and easy-going, while others may leave you sitting with something a little heavier. Both are part of the process. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a fair bit of humour into the room — so yes, you can expect a few jokes along the way!
Outside of psychology, I’m a huge Bollywood fan, love to read, and enjoy walking barefoot whenever I can. At SwaShree, I hope to make therapy feel less intimidating and more like a space where you can genuinely be yourself.

Coming closer to yourself
I don’t believe that people need to be “fixed.”
I believe that our emotions, behaviours, and ways of coping often make sense when we understand the experiences behind them.
Sometimes, we learn to survive in ways that no longer serve us. Sometimes, we carry things we haven’t had the space to process. And sometimes, we simply feel lost without knowing exactly why.
Therapy, for me, is about creating a space to pause and understand — to understand where you have been, what has shaped you, and how you want to move forward.
I don’t believe I have all the answers for you. But I believe that through curiosity, honesty, compassion, and collaboration, we can work towards finding the answers that feel right for you.
Because healing isn’t about becoming a completely different person. It’s about coming closer to yourself.
