Counselling psychologist
Trained to work through emotions, relationships and life challenges using structured conversation. Does not prescribe medication.
When to choose: You want to talk something through, understand your patterns, or work on a specific concern.
Psychiatrist
A medical doctor specialising in mental health. Can diagnose medical conditions and prescribe medication.
When to choose: Symptoms are severe, medication may be needed, or a doctor has advised psychiatric review. If this is you, please see a psychiatrist — we will gladly help you find one.
Emergency or crisis services
Immediate support when someone's safety is at risk, available at any hour.
When to choose: There is danger right now. SwaShree does not provide crisis care — please use the helpline below instead of waiting for an appointment.

How long is a counselling session?
Sessions are generally around 45–60 minutes, depending on the nature of the service.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is maintained within professional and ethical boundaries, including applicable safety and legal exceptions.
Do you provide online sessions?
Yes. Online sessions are available depending on the service and individual requirements.
Do you work with children and teenagers?
Yes. We provide developmentally appropriate psychological support for children and adolescents.
Can I come for counselling even if I don't know what I need?
Absolutely. You can begin by sharing what you're experiencing, and we can work together to understand your needs.
What is the difference between counselling and psychological guidance?
Counselling may involve deeper emotional exploration, while guidance is usually more focused on a specific concern, decision or situation.
Do you provide corporate counselling?
Yes. SwaShree offers confidential one-on-one psychological support and workplace counselling partnerships for employees.
Can parents seek guidance without bringing their child?
Yes. Parent guidance and psychoeducation can be provided individually, based on the family's needs.
Do you provide emergency or crisis services?
No. SwaShree does not provide emergency crisis care. Immediate safety concerns require appropriate emergency or crisis support.
